There are so many ways that gratitude plays a part in our lives, and we may never truly know how far reaching is its effect. How does it feel to be grateful? How do others know when you are grateful? How do you receive the gratitude of others? This year at the women’s retreat we will explore the many ways gratitude shows up in our lives and how we can be creative in our expression of it with a focus on:
- Lively discussion groups to share and witness the gratitude of others
- Embracing change and the gratitude that comes from our life’s experiences...even its most challenging moments
- Creative expressions for that which we are grateful through art, poetry, song, pictures, something new...
- Celebrating gratitude through movement
Come share your stories, learn creative ways of expression, discover what you are most grateful for…in the world around you as well as inside yourself. Experience the transformational effects of placing gratitude amongst your highest priorities – can we change our world by simply shifting our perspective? As always, there will be opportunities to do crafts, sing, laugh, and play, as well as time for silence and reflection; time for walking the retreat property, Qigong, and meditation.
Take your place in our circle at this year’s retreat as we examine the magical and very real idea of gratitude. Make new friendships and strengthen familiar bonds as we share these experiences together at St. Rita’s Retreat Center, in Gold Hill. Registration fee: $115 (Partial scholarships available). What better way to launch ourselves into the Thanksgiving season! Register after Sunday Services at the special retreat table, starting mid-September, or contact Karen Schoessow: Karen_sch@q.com, 541-779-1091.
