RVUUF is proud to be designated as a welcoming congregation, indicating that we have made special efforts to welcome the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgendered communities. Some of our most cherished members are GLBT and our church is very supportive of the GLBT community and the struggle against homophobia and heterosexism.

Citizens who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender don’t receive over 1,000 benefits granted by law to heterosexual citizens. Many have been turned away by their families, friends, and churches because of their sexual orientation. Members and friends of RVUUF have a new opportunity to welcome and support GLBT folks who are within and outside of our congregation. The Welcoming Congregation Committee invites your participation and encouragement in your unique way.
