Invitation to Become a Member of RVUUF: If you’ve been coming to this congregation long enough to feel it is your religious home and your spiritual community, we invite you to become a member and be honored at a brief New Member Welcome and Recognition Ceremony. Becoming a member is an important decision so do take your time deciding.* But if you feel you’re ready to become an official voting member, we warmly welcome you.
To Become a Member of RVUUF:
How to Sign Up: Contact Rev. Colbert, Maria Geigel (Membership Chair), or Janet in the church office at 482-4755; or sign up at the back of the sanctuary.
*Note: Membership is a choice. As a Member, you may vote on congregational decisions, chair a committee, be elected to the Board, and vote to call a Settled Minister. However, all are welcome to take part in our programs and in our community. The gifts of your time, your talent, and your financial support are much appreciated!

All Saints Day & Welcome and Recognition of New Members
A festive and fun service to close our Program Year. We’ll honor our many saints who make this church the joyous community it is. We’ll welcome and include new members, and of course we’ll sing “When the Saints Come Marching In”! Everyone is invited to the service. There will be child care for our youngest children.

Sat, Sep 25. Circle dinners are potluck dinners which take place in people’s homes. They are usually held the 4th Saturday of each month. This is a fun way to socialize with other UUs in a small group. You may sign up as a host or a guest. We often are in need of hosts. Sign up by filling out a form (download&print) (or at table in the back/lobby). Place your completed form in the box on the hallway wall, just outside the kitchen -- deadline to sign-up is the 2nd preceding Sunday (i.e., Sep 12th for Sep) to allow more time to plan the dinners. Hope to see you at a circle dinner soon! All are welcome, especially newcomers! Contact Kathleen Maloney.
You do not need to join the Membership Committee in order to help. You can sign-up to do just a one-time task (e.g., fix-up the name tag kiosk) or a recurring single task (e.g., greet or usher once a month). Contact Maria Geigel (Contact Us > Membership Committee) to discuss your interests/skills and how you can help.

Please feel free to attend our Sunday Services. Learn more about RVUUF by speaking to the Sunday morning greeters, and to other church members during the coffee time after the service.
Steps to Membership: If you are interested in becoming a member of RVUUF, Contact the Membership Committee or the Minister. The first step is to attend an orientation meeting, either Welcome to RVUUF, which is generally held on the first Sunday of the month from noon to 1pm, or Getting to Know RVUUF, a three-week, evening orientation. Check the Membership Committee page or online Calendar for the next orientation meetings. You are welcome to discuss questions you have with the minister.
Check out RVUUF and UU history and resources under About Us/UU, and our activities and groups under Programs. Pick up pamphlets from the rack on the wall or from Sunday Greeters -- or the UUA Bookstore.
Participate in Fellowship ceremonies, Chalice Lighting, Religious Education, Interest Groups & Classes, e. g., Humanism, men's group, women's circle, book clubs, and social groups, e.g., sign up for Circle Dinners -- you will be invited to evening pot-luck dinners with a mix of regular members and guests; it's a great way to meet people in the congregation and to get a sense of who we are and what we're all about.
We wish to extend our hand in friendship and welcome you to join us. In life's adventure, we seek ways to nurture, encourage and support one another. We value the opportunity to meet together in order to share our thoughts and companionship. At RVUUF, your experiences, beliefs and values will be both accepted and challenged. We look forward to knowing you.
