Purpose: Communicate RVUUF information, events, and activities to the RVUUF community, visitors, and interested parties using many media.

*Note: Marketing & Public Relations is part of the Community Building Ministry; it is recognized that the website and newsletter are also vital methods for communicating with the wider community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and update a website
• Create and distribute a monthly newsletter.
• Announce events and activities via email, bulletin boards, and Sunday Announcements and Order of Service
• Coordinate content and policies for print, email, web, video, audio and other physical and electronic media.

Policies: A communication policy will be developed.

Procedures: Communication procedures will be developed.

The content for this site was collected from the previous web site, recent newsletters, email announcements and items in the Sunday Order of Service. If you are aware of information that is incorrect, missing, obsolete or out of date, please Contact Us: Web Administrator. Text, bulletin board announcements/flyers, clipart, photos, music, podcasts, games and links are welcome, especially from committee & groups representatives -- for Committees & Groups, read about updates: content & process.

Content should be "RVUUF-related or RVUUF-sponsored"; we generally do not publish info/events for outside organizations. The Web Admin prefers that updates be submitted by email -- though if you have many/large photos, a USB drive or CD is fine; if you can provide links, forms brochures, clip art, etc. so much the better; non-electronic updates -- paper info that must be retyped, verbal suggestions and mind reading -- are lower priority/less reliable sources.

Our Communication Committee will be revising the Privacy Policy and our other content & publication policies. In the future (after we more clearly define our Communication Policy), consider learning how to add or update the content yourself -- no arcane computer skills necessary.
