Rev. Sean Parker Dennison’s first sermon with RVUUF as its new developmental minister will be on Sunday, Sept. 19. This coincides with the annual Water Communion, a Unitarian Universalist tradition.
The “Time for All Ages” (a special time during services before children are released to their classes) resumes Sunday, Sept. 11 with RVUUF’s observance of the Water Communion. September is a time for new beginnings. Summer is waning and fall is in the air. A very special ingathering service at RVUUF will be held on Sept. 11 at 10:25 a.m. This begins the Sunday morning routine when children join the Sunday service again through the Time for all Ages segment of the service.
The month of July has been a respite for me in that I spent a lot of my study month catching up on reading books that always get pushed to the side of my desk during the year.
Three things I want to mention in this month’s article: one is about our new mission statement, the second is about my summer schedule, and third is about the importance of connecting to each other even when summer tends to separate us until the fall when we gather together again.
