Racial Equity Coalition is third-Sunday offering recipient

RVUUF’s Social Justice and Action Committee has selected Racial Equity Coalition to receive the third-Sunday offering for Feb. 17, 2019. Alma Rosa Alvarez will speak. Here’s a look at services taking place in February 2019. The Soul Matters theme for the month is “Trust.” Services take place at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday in RVUUF’s Great Hall. Gathering music begins at 10:25 a.m.

Third Sunday recipient: Family Nurturing Center

On Sunday, Jan. 20, RVUUF’s third-Sunday recipient will be the Family Nurturing Center. Lisa O’Connor, the executive director, will speak about the work this organization does. The Family Nurturing Center is a relief nursery for the Rogue Valley (Jackson County and Josephine County). Its purpose is to prevent child abuse and neglect. Options for Homeless Residents of Ashland (OHRA) is RVUUF’s third-Sunday offering recipient for Sunday, April 15. OHRA is “dedicated to helping our most vulnerable residents with the most basic of human needs – shelter.”
