Louise M. Paré, Ph.D., a native Oregonian, grew up outside of Murphy, OR on a 6-acre organic family farm close to the Applegate River where her family has lived for over 50 years. The oldest of eight children who all play musical instruments, her love of music, movement and ritual was encouraged at an early age. A dynamic international women's spirituality and movement educator, Louise earned her doctorate in Women's Spirituality at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco and her M.A. in Religious Studies from Mundelein College in Chicago.

She brings extensive experience in the fields of religious education with adults, families, and youth, women's spirituality, social justice, holistic health, and movement healing arts as well as yoga philosophy, psychology and science. She is published in The Spiral Path: Explorations in Women's Spirituality, Streams From the River: Women's Sacred Wisdom, Keys to the Open Gate: A Women's Spirituality Sourcebook, Goddessing Regenerated and the forthcoming She is Everywhere! A Sampler of Feminist Spiritual Writings.

Prior to moving to Ashland she was a faculty member at New College of California in San Francisco and Sonoma State University. She became a member of the Bismarck-Mandan North Dakota Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in the late 1980's and the Berkeley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in the early 1990's.

Louise is also the director of The Life in Harmony Center in Ashland where she teaches spirituality and wellness classes and sees private clients for body-based spiritual counseling. After many years of living in the midwest, she is delighted to be living once again in southern Oregon where she is close to her family.
