We meet every first and third Sunday under the balcony at 3pm. We usually have an optional short reading related to the discussion topic available in the RVUUF library a week before each meeting. Questions, call Les Jensen at (541) 482-3504.

Jun 3: “Climate Change” This will be a power point lecture by Terry Bateman. Terry will speak on the science of the earth's climate including the mechanisms, effects and global warming. There will be no advanced reading.

Jun 17: “Occupy” This is a very short book (120 pages) by Noam Chomsky. It has been described as a blueprint for the global occupy movement. It also includes some history and practical advice on how to forge a better future for humanity. You can purchase it paperback for around $10 in most book stores or pick up a copy of a review of the book in the UU Library after 6/9.

Jul 1: “The Life and Work of Christopher Hitchens” Hitchens wrote the book “God is Not Great” and other books on religion and politics. We will view a DVD which will feature his friends and colleagues on both sides of the Atlantic. It will paint a portrait of a courageous journalist. There will be no reading for this topic.
