Vision: To improve the health and quality of life for our congregation.

Mission: To provide professional nursing services and other health care services which will focus on the promotion of health and prevention of disease within the context of our UU Principles, values, beliefs and practices of our Beloved Faith Based Community.

Goals:

  • To provide health education to individuals, groups or the congregation.
  • To provide health counseling to individuals or families.
  • To provide health screening programs for the Fellowship.
  • To provide support and advocacy for those congregational members in need.
  • To provide assessment and evaluation of the health-related needs of the congregation.
  • To provide referrals for assistance to health care providers, agencies, organizations, and support services to improve the quality of life for individuals.
  • To develop support groups to meet physical, psychological and social needs of individuals.
  • To develop a health ministry team of complimentary and retired health care professionals to provide needed services.
  • To develop a close working relationship with the RVUUF Minister and Board.
  • To evaluate the delivery of Health Ministry services annually.
