Java

open in your web browser: interactive version allows you to Check your word or Reveal a letter hint or entire word (if you get stuck), and find out whether you've filled in the puzzle correctly

.puz (Across-Lite)

open .file in Across Lite (free; for Mac, Windows, ...), or CrossWords ($; for iPad/iPhone/iPod, Palm) or other .puz-compatible application; typically, similar features to Java client.

.pdf (print)

open file in Adobe (Acrobat) Reader, Mac OS X Preview or other PDF client
