With the Holidays approaching, Susan Meek agreed to do a cooking demonstration and prepare a "Buche de Noel" or Yule Log. It is a fancy Christmas dessert, easy to prepare, delicious and impressive. She says, "I try to find the best way to do any cooking I take on. By the 'best' I mean ease of preparation, not cost-prohibitive, and nutritious, but not to the point of undermining the authenticity of what I am cooking. Some recipes are complicated and demand time and effort. This recipe is an easier one that tastes great and looks good at the same time."
There is room in the kitchen for six observers. There will be a sign up sheet on the back table in the sanctuary. As the Buche de Noel is baking, the group will share favorite recipes, so if you are one of the lucky six, be sure to bring some of your favorite holiday recipes with you. And, of course, when the baking is done, the group will enjoy eating Susan's wonderful dessert. If there is enough interest, Susan is willing to do a second session. Donations will be collected to defray the cost of ingredients.
