Medford UU Society meets second and fourth Sundays

The Medford UU Society meets at 1 p.m. on the second and forth Sundays of each month in the Annex/Classroom of the Medford Senior Center, located at 510 E. Main St., off E. Eighth Street near Riverside.

Dec. 10: Winter Solstice
Donna North has researched the yearly solstices and has learned that centuries ago the Winter Solstice was celebrated on that date by the Romans, Pagans, etc, but eventually it was adopted by Christians, and the celebration moved to Christmas Day.

Dec. 24: Carols and Cookies
Led by Muriel Williams and Donna North, attendees will sing old, familiar carols and eat Christmas cookies. Attendees are encouraged to bring cookies to share.
